Announcing the invention and patent (patent pending) of a new concept in aviation!
This original invention is named the “Magnecopter”. The Magnecopter ™ combines the concepts of; 1. Magnetically driven stepper motors, 2. Helicopters and, 3. Gyroscopes. The Magnecopter’s propulsion is produced by moving short wing sections magnetically along a circular path around a cockpit. The magnetically driven wing runs on electricity produced by a standard jet auxiliary power unit.
The name, Magnecopter, is derived from the term
‘magnetically driven helicopter’.

The Magnecopter design is a theoretical concept ready for prototyping.
Coming soon: CAD models, CFD and simulation results for customer evaluation!
Because…Math
In summary: I'm moving 60+/- linear feet of wing at 1,000+ feet per second, right up to the speed of sound. It creates a tremendous amount of lift.
Airflow Control Surfaces (top) and Thrust Vectoring Control Surfaces
(edge and bottom) provide directional control
This is a side view of an individual wing section. The Magnecopter will have some dozens of these. The dot on the side represents the longitudinal roller control shaft. The shaft can be rotated which will allow us to control the pitch - the same way the pitch is varied on a conventional helicopter or variable pitch airplane propeller.
The individual wing section is pulled along a track by electromagnets spaced inside and outside the track (final design will vary).
Here we show an example of a view of the full Magnetically Driven Concentric Wing Assembly which shows one possible configuration of the thrust vectoring control surfaces. Thrust Vectoring Control Surfaces, aka 'vents', on the top, side & bottom of the assembly will vector thrust in the desired direction with fly-by-wire controls and provide directional control to the aircraft.
The Magnecopter technology promises to be a large industrial opportunity. Magnecopter's magnetically driven helicopter can be built under license by firms not currently producing conventional helicopters and tiltrotors.
Fill out the Contact Form below! Worldwide, numerous companies are expected to pursue evaluation and development! The size of the commercial market promises opportunities for a large number and wide variety of firms!
The power will be provided using commercial APUs like those currently built by Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney.
There are also development opportunities for electronic manufacturers. The Magnecopter requires large quantities of complex electronics, wiring harnesses, software programming and controls.

Non-exclusive licensing is being offered for a very limited time. All discussions start with a typical Non-Disclosure Agreement or NDA. This is followed by a Memorandum of Understanding or MOU document that lays out the interests of the parties. Finally, we reach the Contract phase. The financial sections of the contract become relevant when certain technical goals are met. These technical milestones relate to various stages of the Proof of Concept/ Prototype. We charge an annual license fee plus a royalty percentage. We are flexible on some points but be advised that any concession for one customer makes the playing field unfair for the other customers. We will pursue any and all patent violations aggressively.

Yes. For a very limited time, if a group forms a Joint Venture and wants to fund a project, we will work with them. If the government of a Country were to say "...we'd like to spin up a nation-wide effort among some universities, firms and/or Government Agency...", as long as we operate within U.S. law, we would license that.
I will repeat: it does not cost any money to start. Only upon Proof of Concept would any money be contractually obligated. We see this as a unique opportunity for a non-traditional aviation powerhouse company or nation to become one.
For a very limited time, we are licensing our technology to whomever, and, wherever we are legally allowed to do so as we at Magnecopter follow all Laws Rules and Regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate. We want to be extremely clear that we will NOT sell our invention to one company so that it can be $#!^-canned. If you are interested in starting a project, doing your own math to validate our claims, asking questions and being part of this exciting new adventure, THEN WE WANT TO SPEAK TO YOU! We have extensive international experience.
The Magnecopter was invented by A. Wayne Avellanet of Plano, Texas.
Our suggestion: Have fun with it! It's new. It is exciting. Think about all the possibilities!
